🛠️ A Day in the Life
As a Field Technician, your day starts around 8:00 AM. You’ll either meet your crew at the job site or pick up tools and materials before heading to work on projects like kitchen and bathroom remodels.
After a check-in with your supervisor, it’s hands-on all day, from demoing outdated spaces, helping frame new walls, installing cabinetry, to cleaning up the job site. You’ll use hand and power tools, haul materials, and work shoulder-to-shoulder with experienced tradespeople. Along the way, you’ll learn the ins and outs of construction-from electrical rough-ins to finish carpentry. By the time you clock out, you’ll have made real progress on someone’s home and on your career.
🎯 What It Takes to Succeed
To thrive in this role, you’ll need to be punctual and dependable, showing up ready to go every day. Physical stamina is a must-you should be able to lift 50+ lbs., climb ladders, and stay on your feet. You should have a strong work ethic and a “get it done” mentality, while also being open to learning new skills and taking feedback. Communication and teamwork are key, as you’ll be working alongside others daily. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are essential, along with a willingness to follow all safety protocols. Experience with basic tools, a high school diploma or GED, or prior construction experience is helpful, but not required.
