Below, we break down exactly what’s covered under our NBC Labor Warranties and the manufacturer warranties that protect the materials we install.

1️⃣ Roofing Warranties

NBC Workmanship Warranty:

• Asphalt Shingle Roofs: 25-year labor warranty
• Metal Roofs: 10-year labor warranty
• Low-slope or coated roofs: 2-5 years depending on system type
• Roof Repairs: 2-year limited workmanship coverage

Manufacturer Coverage:

Transferability:
All NBC and Atlas roof warranties can be transferred once to a new homeowner if the transfer occurs within the life of the warranty and NBC is notified in writing within 30 days of sale.

2️⃣ Siding Warranties

NBC Workmanship Warranty:

3️⃣ Window & Door Warranties

NBC Workmanship Warranty:

• Windows & Doors (Simonton, ProVia, Ply Gem): 5-year labor warranty

Manufacturer Coverage:

4️⃣ Decks, Patios, and Outdoor Living

NBC Workmanship Warranty:

• Decks and patios: 2-5 years (depending on structure, materials, and site conditions)

Manufacturer Coverage:

• TimberTech® Decking Systems are backed by a 25-year limited residential warranty for material defects and a 30-year fade and stain warranty on premium collectionsTimbertech_warranty.
• These warranties cover splitting, splintering, rotting, and termite damage, as well as fade resistance within five Delta-E units.
• TimberTech warranties may transfer once within five years of the original purchase.

Pro Tip:
Avoid painting or staining TimberTech or AZEK decking — doing so can void coverage. Clean regularly with soap and water or manufacturer-approved cleaners.

5️⃣ Renovations & Interior Remodeling

NBC Workmanship Warranty:

• All Renovations: 1-year limited labor warranty from the date of final invoice
• Coverage applies to the craftsmanship of your renovation — framing, drywall, paint, flooring, cabinetry, and other installed elements.

What’s Not Covered:
Like most general contractor warranties, coverage excludes:

• Normal wear and tear
• Issues caused by homeowner modifications or neglect
• Damage due to moisture, fire, electrical malfunction, or structural movement post-completion

NBC’s renovation warranty reflects the South Carolina Residential Construction Standards and ensures all work is “reasonably free of defects and within customary tolerances of the industry.”

6️⃣ General Warranty Conditions

• All NBC workmanship warranties begin from the date of final invoice or project completion.
• If a manufacturer warranty requires registration (e.g., Atlas Premium Protection), NBC will submit it after final payment.
• All warranties are transferable once to a new owner within the warranty term (written notice to NBC required).
• Warranty claims must be submitted in writing and include photos or descriptions of the issue. NBC will inspect and respond promptly.
